ECOACERO, an ESTRELLA Group company, has placed an order for a new rebar mill with a heat treat equipment supplier with North American locations. The expansion includes a reheating furnace, and the mill will help the company serve the construction industry.

The Class of 2023 is a high-achieving, motivated, and heart-felt group of significant contributors to the heat treat market. Here are two highlights from this year’s class.

Trevor Gibson is the lead materials engineer at Dana Incorporated, an in-house heat treater. With 11 years in the industry, Trevor supports Dana’s product groups in materials selection and design (specifically in heat treatment) as well as supporting Dana’s global materials team in material and design failure analysis. He was hired as a senior materials engineer and was recently promoted to lead materials engineer because of his work and materials/heat treatment leadership in the company. Chris Pietszak is an experienced quality systems professional with a focus on the implementation and support of ISO, IATF, and Nadcap as well as CQI-9 compliance. Chris began his time in the heat treating industry at Skyway Precision, Inc. and later joined Aalberts surface technologies HIP | braze | heat treatment in 2016 as a quality management representative and has transitioned into the role of quality manager of the Livonia, MI austempering facility.
