IHEA Monthly Economic Report: Q4, the New Year, and Beyond

The monthly Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) Executive Economic Summary released in December gives forecasts for Q4 results and takes a look into the start of 2023. The 3.9% growth from Q3 is not expected to be matched in Q4, but the spending power of the consumer holds out hope for battling recession.

The Class of 2022 is a high-achieving, motivated, and heart-felt group of significant contributors to the heat treat market. Here are two highlights from this year’s class.

Sarah Lombardo is the quality manager at Vacu Braze. Sarah has guided the company to accreditation as a Nadcap heat treat supplier while maintaining and establishing AS9100 and ISO 13485 quality systems. Salvador Monreal is the engineering manager at Contour Hardening. Salvador began working at Contour Hardening in 2015 as an intern. In this role, he successfully assisted in installing an induction hardening system for a customer in Mexico. This success led to his full-time employment as a mechanical and electrical engineer.
