IperionX Receives $25M to Accelerate Titanium Production

Iperion X has received $25 million from the U.S. Department of War to support the build-out of a resilient, fully integrated, and low-cost titanium supply chain. The funds will be applied to the scale-up of production to 1,400 tpa at IperionX’s Titanium Manufacturing Campus in Virginia.

Stefan Habean - Staff Engineer, DANTE Solutions, Inc.
|
- As a staff engineer at DANTE Solutions, Stefan Habean plays a critical role in both advancing simulation technology and supporting clients across the heat treat industry. With a background in mechanical engineering, Stefan has taken it upon himself to develop a deep understanding of metallurgical principles, applying this expertise to consulting work and software development as a staff engineer. He is one of the lead developers of DANTE’s metallurgical utility software and is instrumental in helping clients interpret and improve their thermal processing practices using simulation tools.
- His combination of technical depth, initiative, and community engagement makes Stefan a standout contributor in the next generation of heat treat professionals.

Perla Iris Huazano - Senior Process Engineer, ETSA.
|
- Perla Iris Huazano began her academic career at the Technological Institute of Morelia in the field of materials engineering. She continued her academic growth by completing an internationally recognized graduate degree in metallurgy from CINVESTAV. Now serving as a senior heat treatment process engineer at GRUPO ETSA, Perla has eight years of experience spanning metallurgy and heat treatment.
- Perla’s experience covers a wide range of thermal processes, including hardening, carburizing, bainitic hardening, and induction hardening. She leads heat treatment recipe design, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal metallurgical properties and product performance. Responsible for heat treatment and quality process, she leverages her expertise in safety and quality to carry out documentation updates, process improvements, new product launches, and support of the metallurgy laboratory.
